1. UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea

[10:00 Departure from Busan Station – 10:30 UNMCK – 11:35 Lunch – 12:55 Oryukdo Sky Walk – 14:10 Arrived at Busan Station]

The UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea is the only cemetery in the world which is nominated as UN memorial cemetery by UN general assembly in 1955.
This is a place to honor the efforts and sacrifices of the UN soldiers. It is a sanctuary where the souls of fallen UN soldiers are resting.
There are fallen UN soldiers who devoted their lives to the peace of the world and the law of justice of freedom.
It is of great symbolic significance that reminds us of the importance of international cooperation to the peace of the world. During the Korean War, 16 countries dispatched troops and 5 countries sent the medical support group to protect the freedom and peace of Korea.
Initially, about 11,000 fallen soldiers were interred in the memorial cemetery. Currently, 2,300 remains have been resting at the request of the bereaved family or the home government.

2. Haedong Yongkungsa

[09:00 Departure from Busan Station – 09:50 Haedong Yongkungsa – 11:00 Lunch – 13:00 Arrived at Busan Station]

Haedong Yongkungsa where it is holding the ocean is the most beautiful temple in Korea.
Haedong Yongkungsa was founded in 1376 by Master Naong, the royal mentor of King Gongmin, and it’s one of the three great Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva sacred sites in Korea, where the sea, dragons, and giant Avalokitesvara Buddha are in harmony. It contains a deeper meaning of faith than any other place.
It is common to see many visitors throwing coins and making wishes on the 'Yongmungyo Bridge’ on the entrance. It is famous for a magical place that your wish will come true if you pray sincerely.
The zodiac gods that you first encounter on the way to the temple are like guardian spirits that protect the land in the 12 directions, block the invasion of evil spirits, and pray for the 5 blessings of humans. It was destroyed by fire during the Japanese invasions of Korea and rebuilt by Ungang of Tongdosa Temple in the early 1930s. In 1974, the monk Jeongam became the head priest of this temple and prayed for its restoration as Avalokitesvara. He saw Avalokitesvara Guan Yin dressed in white and a dragon ascending to heaven in his dream. After that, the name of the temple was changed to Haedong Yonggungsa.
