IAVE’s mission is to enable leaders of volunteering worldwide to stand in solidarity with one another to promote, support and celebrate volunteering in all the many ways it happens throughout the world. From day one, a core function of the organization has been to bring together leaders in volunteering, in person and virtually, to discuss, debate and deepen our shared understanding of volunteering and its potential as a global force for good.
In 2024 the 27th IAVE World Volunteer Conference will take place in Busan, South Korea from 22 – 25 October 2024.
The theme for the conference is ‘People Power: Creating a Sustainable Future through Volunteering.’
IAVE is now accepting applications for topics related to research evidence.
Individuals and organizations may apply for multiple sub-themes but each must be submitted separately.
We invite academics and practitioners with an interest in and experience/knowledge about volunteering and the theme of the conference,
